Maui Resort Electrical Submetering & Energy Management Project

We recently partnered with a Maui luxury resort to modernize its electrical submetering system, replacing an outdated Eaton setup that had been in service for years. Our team managed the complete project scope—including design, permitting, installation, programming, and commissioning—to deliver a compact, efficient submetering solution integrated seamlessly with the resort’s IT network.

In just two weeks, we installed 170 advanced energy submeters across 8 buildings, covering residential units, back-of-house operations, commercial spaces, and EV charging areas, while minimizing power interruptions to resort operations.

The new electrical submetering system features surface-mounted enclosures with CAT6 Ethernet connections, securely connected to the resort’s LAN for reliable communication with the main IT switchgear. Working closely with Schneider, our team designed, programmed, and commissioned the meters while securing required county permits and certifications through licensed electricians.

This project demonstrates our expertise in Maui electrical submetering, energy management systems, energy efficiency technology, and sustainable infrastructure solutions for large-scale commercial and resort properties.

Beyond the technical installation, we also helped the resort secure a $25,500 Hawaii Energy rebate through the Hawaii Energy Program. By taking advantage of available energy-efficiency incentives, the resort achieved measurable financial savings, reduced maintenance demands, and improved energy-management capabilities.

The result is a modern energy management and electrical submetering system that improves operational visibility, supports energy-efficiency goals, and delivers long-term value for the property and its residents.
